Southeast Backcountry Discovery Route/Chattahoochee BDR-X – October 2025

This trip will be our inaugural trip on the Southeast Backcountry Discovery Route (SEBDR). The route is the 14th BDR and will debut in March of 2025. It is believed to begin in the Florida Panhandle and end somewhere near Damascus, Va near the start of the MABDR. We estimate spending about 9 days to run this route. We will release more details about this ride once more info becomes available in March. This will include the GPS tracks for the ride.

We are planning on combining this ride with the Chattahoochee BDR X which debuted earlier in 2024. We will likely interrupt the SEBDR where it crosses the Hooch and take about 3 days to ride this BDR X Loop. Following this will resume riding the SEBDR. 

I will be shipping my bike to the start of the ride in Florida then flying down to meet up with the bike. I will likely be arriving in Florida. I am planning on having Alan Cook do the transportation.  also ship with Allen but I will know more The other riders on this tour will also be able to ship with Alan. Note: The SEBDR and the Chattahoochee will be new routes for Emmaus. As such, the ride will be somewhat of a scouting trip for us but we will be doing a good deal of research prior to the ride itself in October. We just wanted you to be aware that this will be inaugural effort for us. 

The plan is to meet up at the start on October 3rd or 4th near the start in Florida’s Panhandle. A few days into the ride will will do the BDR X then continue, after three days, on the SEBDR. Will will arrive at the end around October 16th.

Submitting a registration form does not confirm availability nor participation on a tour
Emmaus MotoTours requires a 30% USD non-refundable deposit at time of booking.

Motorcycle rental within a guided motorcycle tour

Rider is also subject to the the terms and conditions of any motorcycle rental company when purchasing a tour that includes motorcycle rental.

Cancellation Policy

If a tour is canceled by Emmaus MotoTours ahead of departure because of lack of participation all deposits and balance payments are 100% transferable and refundable.

Cancellations initiated by the participant received in writing to motoridetours@gmail.com with more than 30 days notice before tour start date will receive their 30% USD deposit in full.

Cancellations initiated by the participant received in writing to motoridetours@gmail.com with 30 or less days notice before the tour start date will forfeit their deposit and any balance payments as a cancellation fee.

Emmaus MotoTours reserves the right to cancel a participants tour during the tour if the participant is disruptive or putting themselves or others in harms way. No refund or credit will be issued.
