This trip will be our inaugural trip on the Southeast Backcountry Discovery Route (SEBDR). The route is the 14th BDR. It begins in the Florida Panhandle at Navarre Beach and ends in Damascus, VA near the start of the MABDR. We estimate spending about 9 days to run this route.
We are planning on combining this ride with the Chattahoochee BDR X which debuted earlier in 2024. We will interrupt the SEBDR where it crosses the Hooch in Ellijay, GA and take 3 days to ride this BDR X Loop. Following this we will resume riding the SEBDR. If you have an interest in running just the BDR X, email me and we can discuss the options.
I will be shipping my bike to the start of the ride in Florida then flying down to meet up with the bike. I will be arriving in Florida on October 3rd. Meetup in Navarre will be on October 4th. I am planning on having Alan Cook do the transportation. The other riders on this tour will also be able to ship with Alan. You can reach out to Alan at Alan’s Motorcycle Transport.
Note: The SEBDR and the Chattahoochee will be new routes for Emmaus. As such, the ride will be somewhat of a scouting trip for us but we will be doing a good deal of research prior to the ride itself in October. We just wanted you to be aware that this will be inaugural effort for us.

Meet up at the start on October4th near the start in Navarre Beach, FL On October 9th we will arrive in Ellijay, GA and begin the Chattahoochee BDR X October 10th thru the 12th, arriving back in Ellijay on the 12th. We will then then continue SEBDR on October 13th after overnighting in Ellijay. Will will arrive at the end on October 16th.
Submitting a registration form does not confirm availability nor participation on a tour
Emmaus MotoTours requires a 30% USD non-refundable deposit at time of booking.
Rider is also subject to the the terms and conditions of any motorcycle rental company when purchasing a tour that includes motorcycle rental.
If a tour is canceled by Emmaus MotoTours ahead of departure because of lack of participation all deposits and balance payments are 100% transferable and refundable.
Cancellations initiated by the participant received in writing to motoridetours@gmail.com with more than 30 days notice before tour start date will receive their 30% USD deposit in full.
Cancellations initiated by the participant received in writing to motoridetours@gmail.com with 30 or less days notice before the tour start date will forfeit their deposit and any balance payments as a cancellation fee.
Emmaus MotoTours reserves the right to cancel a participants tour during the tour if the participant is disruptive or putting themselves or others in harms way. No refund or credit will be issued.
